where's wally?

is design:dissent really gone? i was only kidding when i said no. can i just not access it? put it back huey. this was something that needed a poll to decide. true i did use it mainly for the blogroll, but it was always useful knowing that there was somewhere i could get people's attention if i needed. at least put back the blogroll.

Yes, design:dissent is really gone. Yes, a poll would have been good; but blogs aren't democratic states. The network of ID blogs is rhizomatic, however it was heavily centralised. By removing d:d this network has become a truly rhizomatic structure; all nodes are equal. However, although it is still possible to navigate from one blog to another it has made the task much harder. For this I see three solutions;

1) a new design:dissent is built, requiring a level of maintenance the old d:d did not receive

2) every ID blog places the blogroll in their sidebar, networking every blog to every other blog (through mass centralisation comes decentralisation)

3) no one cares; nothing is done.

As to which is chosen, I'll leave that to you.

I also don't think that people visited all the blogs on the design:dissent blogroll as only a few where being used and updated. Though I did like how all the recently updated blog went to the top, but i guess it means I’ll have to be less lazy and check for myself.

Though it's a nice relief to have everything decentralized, as I was sick of seeing my stupid studies blog always at the top.

really i'm most annoyed cause i didn't save the addresses of the ones i visited, i just clicked on the blogroll, so now to get to a blog i have to click on about 6 links.

Bloglines via Braden. You could make you own.

I tried to make up a blogline but got lost and didn't understand how, it would be good then I don't have to personally search everybody’s blog for posts I think that's how it works. If you figure it out can you tell me?
