Stackhats are an Australian icon for young adults of my generation.

Developed in 1982 it received an Australian Design Award in 1986 and by the time national compulsory helmet laws were brought in for bicycle riders in 1990, it was the market leader in terms of style and sales.

no doubt the success of the product was due in part to the awesome name, 'Stack' is Australian slang for a (bicycle?) crash.

What i really want to see is the TRON inspired tv advert featuring Molly Meldrum and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, but it seems to have been removed from youtube for copyright violations. for shame Rosebank, for shame, be proud of your past.

drag racing in the Flemington drains on sunday afternoon. beers, boys who look like girls, girls who look like boys, Shifter Dan trying to vomit on people, people on the bike path riding past getting confused, high fives from recumbent riders.

Apologies that all the blog posts now seem to be about bike stuff. boring eh?
