Raymond Lemstra, illustrator
Raymond Lemstra is getting a lot of online love right now, with a curious and engaging mix of japanese, anthropological, botanical illustration styles.
His 'tekening' skills lend a degree of weight to his more hip subjects that encourages further viewings. Other images show further thinking beyond just pretty pictures, his bloated and disfigured pop culture heads, like Tintin/'Kuifje' below reduce icons to their minimal identifying features, while disguising their humanity.
His works make me want to get out and draw things.

360 degree studio photo
moved in some better storage shelves to the studio and now have heaps of extra floor space. i pulled out the 360 degree video lens for my little micro video camera, and wanted to see what the photo's look like. pretty cool!
At the moment i should be working on my entry for fringe furniture, due mid septemebre, but it'sa nice day and i'd rather ride into the city and get coffee. maybe tonight i'll go down and crunch out some concrete mould designs
